Carow grew up in the plains of the Texas Panhandle where she developed a sense of space that has affected way she approaches her imagery, which has aspects of being about types of “scapes”: landscape, skyscape, and mindscape. Art has been a lifetime involvement, even in periods when she was not formally showing work. Education includes degrees from the University of Chicago and The Art Institute of Chicago. Carow resides in a loft/studio near downtown Chicago. Her work is included in various private collections.
